The abundant leftovers, travel, and stress make it easy to compromise and stop by the drive-thru on the way home. Inflammation can be triggered by the foods you eat, and chronic inflammation has been linked to everything from cancer to heart disease and even arthritis. However, by choosing the right foods, you can not only reduce your risk of illness but also reduce the prevalence of inflammation in your body.

– Fried foods, refined carbohydrates, and sweet drinks cause inflammation and have been linked to an increased risk of heart disease.
– Fruits and vegetables are high in natural antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties.
